—《华文？谁怕谁！》挑战题之一（附答案）
新加坡“推广华语理事会”去年推出《华文？谁怕谁！》大挑战活动，通过有趣的问答游戏，让新加坡公民以及永久居民亲身参与（凭新加坡身份证注册，其他地区的华人不能参与），感受中华文化的博大精深，深化他们对华文华语的认识，并进一步提升他们的华语掌握能力。今年7月6日起，“推广华语理事会”再次推出《华文？谁怕谁！》大挑战活动，分公开组和学生组，持续六周。本博转载公开组的题目，看看这些难倒新加坡人的挑战题，对我们中国人来说是不是也具有挑战性。题目附上英语翻译，如果题目本身对我们中国人来说太简单，还可以复习下英语。

究竟是一个什么典故呢？唐玄宗（明皇）李隆基与贵妃杨玉环平日喜欢玩掷骰（tóu）子游戏，杨玉环先掷出了两个一点，按照规则李隆基需要掷出两个四点才能胜过她，李隆基在掷骰子的过程中，不停地喊：“重四、重四！”果然是四点。于是，他龙颜大悦，立刻命高力士用朱漆将骰子上的四点漆为红色。杨玉环哪里肯依，于是玄宗为了取悦杨贵妃，就把一点也涂成了红色。从此骰子有了红黑两色的区分，民间也纷纷效仿，流行开来，骰子在民间也就有了一个新名字：色子（sǎi zi）
在以后的游戏中，“四”成了唐玄宗偏爱的数字，掷骰子时他喜欢“四点”，押宝时他喜欢放在数字“肆”的上面。一时，皇宫里的人在游戏时，都避讳和顾忌“四”这个数字，掷骰子怕掷到“四点”，押宝时谁也不敢放“肆”。
一日，新来的妃子与大家玩押宝游戏时，毫无顾忌地将赌钱放在了“肆”上，于是有人大喊提醒：“不要放肆”、“你敢放肆！”
渐渐地，“放肆”成了“言行轻率、毫无顾忌”的代名词
